Fleas on cats
Ticks are very common parasites – unfortunately, most of cats will catch it coming out of the house, not only free-living animals. But even the cat lying seemingly on the safe balcony can catch a tick if nearly growing some tall trees or shrubs. When you notice a tick on your cat’s body, it should be removed as soon as possible. The shorter feeding period is the greatest chance to avoid infection by a parasite with transmitted diseases. If you can remove the tick yourself, you can do it, just unscrew it using a needle or tweezers. However, if you do not fully believe in our possibilities, the best way is to go to the vet and give your pet in the hands of a specialist. Personally, I do not recommend you to use the collars against fleas. This is due to the fact that the cat to escape the threat, squeezing through a narrow hole or jumping from trees can hang on the collar and suffocate. Definitely more safely solution is using adequate preparations for the hair, but remembers: do not use them when the pet is wet recently after a bath, because the product will not work.
How to get rid of fleas on cats
The problem with cat’s fleas is a little more difficult then dog’s. The difference is that cats don’t like the water (this is almost impossible to bath) and they constantly lick themselves – the insecticide which you use are licked and eaten. A good solution is to buy the collars against fleas for your cat. With that your cat will be saved walking around basements, bushes and lounging in the dust. You can see fleas can often be seen in the places where the hair is thinner: on the stomach and groin. The pet market offers several types of products to use. One of them is a shampoo, but it is hardly effective because it is rinsed and remains on the hair for extended periods. The most convenient solution is a collar, but it is not enough. Collars often cause allergic reactions and poisoning if the pet accidentally eat it. Moreover, there is a risk that the animal can suffocates on it if it is not well matched. Spot-on solutions, foams and sprays are effective in this problem; however, they should be used more often than other insecticides. If you want to get rid of fleas on the cat and do not want to buy any special preparations then start adding the yeast feeding the cat. Yeast is not lethal to fleas. Just do not smell disgusting for them. That is why fleas start to remove. After you eradicate fleas from the cat you should cleaned the whole house and especially the places where the cat sleeps frequently. Fleas lay a lot of larvae so if you do not clean and rinse everything your cat will be inhabited by these parasites again.
